Word of Mouf: Obama's HERE

FOX is IRRATE at Luda's song "Obama's Here"...the song makes me laugh becuz of the stir its causing in the media...it makes no strong political stances other than the fact that its anti-mccain, anti-hilary, WHATEVER. The song is ok (i hope it was a freestyle though lol), HOWEVER the problem lies within the view of Obama's campaign. He has stated in many interviews that Ludacris is one of his favorite rappers, making whatever Luda says, a reflection of Obama, dig? Just like Obama's pastor Rev. Wright. He makes strong political statements and accusations, which I think are justified, but they in essence don't help Obama's image in the eyes of White America. I like the fact that black folks are actually taking the time to be political, however I don't know if we know how to play this political game like the whites because we've been so wronged by the government. Now that we have a representative, we feel as though we should speak our minds, when we should have been speaking all along.I don't know if now is the time to have a big mouth. Should we focus on getting this black man into the oval office, or should we take this opportunity while America is LISTENING (finally) to speak what we feel...let me kno

I'm back on it like I just signed my record deal
Yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
Never should have hated, You never should've doubted him
With a slot in the president's iPod Obama shouted 'em

Said I handle my biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer
Better yet put me in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant

Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
If you said it then you meant it how you want it head or gut?
And all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win majority vote in every state on my man

You can't stop what's bout to happen, we bout to make history
The first black president is destined and it's meant to be
The threats ain't fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
So get off your ass, black people, it's time to get out and vote!

Paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and just throw 'em like candy wrap
'cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents

Get out and vote or the end'll be near
The world is ready for change because Obama is here
'cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here, yeah
cuz Obama is here

Obama Education: American Oppertunity Tax Credit

I'm being quite the Young Democrat today aren't I? I research the hell out of my candidates....I found this promising almost unbelievable Education "policy" or idea from Obama's website. I am a supporter of course, but some of his ideas such as getting the soldiers out of Iraq by 2010, reducing America's impact on global warming, and reducing energy and fuel costs by using a more expensive alternate fuel, are a little "far-fetched" or maybe it's because I have no more faith in this country. The education promise is stated below...if it happens I'm totally down, but I have a feeling that none of these efforts will apply to my demographic, the black middle class. One more thing--"most Americans", what does that entail? Poor people, white people...who is "most" and do I fall within that number? Only time will tell.

Create the American Opportunity Tax Credit: Obama will make college affordable for all Americans by creating a new American Opportunity Tax Credit. This universal and fully refundable credit will ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is completely free for most Americans, and will cover two-thirds the cost of tuition at the average public college or university and make community college tuition completely free for most students. Obama will also ensure that the tax credit is available to families at the time of enrollment by using prior year's tax data to deliver the credit when tuition is due.

Both Ways Barack? Fact or Fiction...

My roomate, Jourdan put me onto this Obama commercial, which we all thought was a joke initially. But it came on REAL tv, like ABC not like fake tv like MTV and Lifetime lol. It's basically calling Senator Obama a man who has two stances at the exact same time for multiple issues...I suggest you investigate!

Playstations from Sierra Leone?

This morning I came across this article on yahoo.com about how Playstation was inciting a national African war? Yea, so my natural reaction was wtf? Apparently if you own a Sony Playstation 2, you may have unknowingly funded a "brutal conflict in the Republic of the Congo". The Sony Playstation includes a very rare, very desirable metal only found on the African contienent (like everything else we need to survive) called "coltan"

"At the center of the conflict is the unrefined metallic ore, coltan. After processing, coltan turns into a powder called tantalum, which is used extensively in a wealth of western electronic devices including cell phones, computers and, of course, game consoles.

Allegedly, the demand for coltan prompted Rwandan military groups and western mining companies to plunder hundreds of millions of dollars worth of the rare metal, often by forcing prisoners-of-war and even children to work in the country's coltan mines.

"Kids in Congo were being sent down mines to die so that kids in Europe and America could kill imaginary aliens in their living rooms," said Ex-British Parliament Member Oona King."

Ain't that some shit? Just when you think you're not doing anything to fuel the evil fire, you find
out that your big ass PS2 is fueling an entire illegal movement in Africa! Now Sony has said that with the release of the PS3 and the smaller version of the PS2 they have stopped using coltan and are now using a variety of precious metals...only thing is the damage has already been done...to read the full article click HERE

R.I.P. THE CLUB QUEEN

Baltimore stand up! One of the greatest figures in Baltimore Music has died. All of Baltimore is mourning the loss of the greatest female dj to hit the club seen. 92Q is only playing music today and there will be no dj's on air...this shit is that serious. Club Queen K-Swift use to rock at the Dox and Choices. I can remember every party in highschool use to rock because of her mixes. Rydah girl use to be my shit and niggas use to rock off, we still do really. I remember riding in the car in the evening and singing all the old club mix and jamming to the 8 o'clock take over. Making tapes of club mixes so we could all learn the dances or even goin to Downtown Locker room to cop one of her mixtapes. Damn I'm sad and I mite even have to go to the Dox this friday just to rep for K-swift. Club mixes ain't gona be the same, hell a party won't even be the same without her mixtapes. I just her at artscape to so that memory will forever be bittersweet. Baltimore won't let her legacy die and we gona still bump the hell out of club mixes no matter how much ya'll other cities hate it. R.I.P. THE CLUB QUEEN......Baltimore will sincerely miss you ma....

LONG LIVE THE QUEEN

Khia "K-Swift"Edgerton
October 19, 1980-July 21, 2008

This morning, DJ K-Swift the CLUB QUEEN of Baltimore Club, died suddenly from a head injury in her home swimming pool. For those of you who don't know K-Swift is a Baltimore LEGEND and she was only 28! Her club mixes were like the baddest in the game, she came out with a new cd like every season, she was just as DOPE as they come. I feel as though I grew up on her music, those nights after school at like 6 and the club would come on at 9...even on the big fat morning show wake-up work out...this is bringing me back to those funny ass songs from the "BreakfastFlakes"...damn, she will be missed...I used to record tapes of club mix from off of the radio and her voice would ring out, "yeaa its ur gurl k-swift on the ones and tews...on 92Q(ew)"...damn...im mad sad, i send my condolences to Baltimore-the whole city was her family. Forever a Ryder Girl and all that shit...of course i provided some tracks, bump this shit...its CLASSIC BALTIMORE

long live the queen

on some real shit, i just may have to go home...this is history and the clubs--best believe they are gonna be poppin for the rest of the month in her honor..."ey western tech gurls..."--thas what they used to say about us at the parties lmao

Drake Brings in the NOISE

I so stole this info from aroundthewaygirls.net, HOWEVER I wanted to expand on their already perfect "put on" of Jimmy Brooks from Degrassi, AKA "Drake"-the new r&b sensation/rapper. So I did initially doubt him, but he is actually quite good. His flows are adequate, a lot better than Plies or Shawty Lo actually I think he's worthy of "good"...damn he's actually good. Voice fits well on the tracks, he has a semi-original delivery, and he even sings, uses a synthesizer, and has this song with Robin Thicke called "Teach You a Lesson". The best part about this whole thing is that he ALSO has a song with Weezy-and you know if you put him on the track you are automatically SWEET (jk). Listen to this shit..IM SO FOR SERIOUS...listen, TRUST KIMMIE E-you know i know whats hot...;p (i used his baby picture because i thought it was intriguing, and he was a really cute kid :)

o and make sure you listen to "going in for life"...o and "where to now"...both r fire, like real hip hop type shit...just trust me!!!! I'm even thinking about putting one of these on my myspace!

The Dark Knight

One of the best movies I have seen in a long, long time. Full of action, drama, sick humor, and more action, the Dark Knight does not disappoint. The Dark Knight differs from other Batman movies by using deeper dialogue and by making the characters less animated. The movie just seems real, unlike the first couple of Batmans. The Joker is the key to the whole movie and Heath Ledger plays him to a t. The movie was sick so I recommend that you go check that shit out.

its a new era right now? but i thought that song came out in 1986

Bashing is way overdue. I feel as though I haven't "hated" on people in a long time and seeing as though all of us at Queenie Valentine are a "hater family" (thank you Dr. West) I figured that I would do my duty and HATE on something wretched. I know you've heard of The Retro Kids, if you haven't, you have now. Anyway they're these kids who wear retro clothes from the 80's ALL DAY EVERYDAY...dope right? Wellllll depends on who you ask....However I am not hating on the style, but the music. The new single, "New Era", is like ugh...like ugh...ahhhhh...bad taste in my mouth like shit. Whether they choose to believe it or not, the 80's is OVER, music has changed and so has fashion, technology, television, radio...I want to say that the track is inspired by 80's music, but I feel as though the track is the 80's and I'm sorry Retro Kids, you can't bring back a decade that's over! I believe that this is a trend and unless the world is ending in the next year or two the Retro Kids will be a distant memory, we will all look back over their myspace pages and say "aww that was cute, but moving on into the new millennium..."

give it a listen, if you don't hate it...maybe you need an extra 6 months to get the 80s out of your system...o and i gave you a 30 second play...its unbearable, so trust me...sorry kids, its all love over here, but hip hop isn't to be played with, not everyone can fuck with my wife, so stick to reality tv and cartoons and clothing lines and shit..lmfao

So i have become obsessed with N.E.R.D..and I was so anti at first, but I love them so much, like the entire shit is fiyah. Hot fiyah! Get on it sons and daughters....So today's discussion is about renewing yourself. Finding out exactly who you are. I feel as though it is an ongoing journey. Despite my outer appearance, the words that come out of my mouth, the poetry that I write...i still don't have a complete and total true vision of myself quite yet. Like my painting is almost complete, but I still gotta fill in the colors-that type of thing, ya dig? So I started out with the underwear thing, I figured that feeling beautiful underneath your clothes was a positive step in figuring out the beauty within (like the Dove commercials lol). I found myself prancing around my house in panties and a strapless, dancing to N.E.R.D of course, I felt uniquely beautiful, like only I could offer what Kimmie E offers to this world. Its like my drawls created this inside understanding, like the leopard print was speaking to my soul...i won't even lie it gave me hella new confidence, like true confidence, not the boxed type that rubs off as "bitch", but the confidence where your like "damn i wanna know that girl..." and then i smoked trees in my big comfy armchair..hell yea...inner beauty is the shit

Cutting Back is Hard to Do

When I first started working this summer I use to go to Starbucks and get a small vanilla bean frappuccino every Wednesday and Friday during my lunch break, not to mention the Starbucks runs with Vashti on the weekends. I have since cut back due to gas prices, but it seems that I am not the only one. Many Americans have cut back on their Starbucks coffee intake, although some are slightly addicted and can't seem to shake their habit lol. Even Starbucks is cutting back by getting rid of 600 Starbucks Cafes nationwide. I mean 600 sounds like a lot but when you think about how many Starbucks there really are, its not. In D.C. there is one Starbucks per city block near the White House. They have oversaturated the market with the gorilla business tactics and plans of world domination, but now they are paying the price. With a slowing economy and sky high gas prices, a $3.69 medium cappuccino or a small vanilla bean frap at $3.10,many Americans are fiiling their gas tanks instead of there bellies.

Ok, so I know that Bow Wow is a sexy, yet short, mufu*ka and if your too dope to admit that, then...your just not dope at all. HOWEVER, a lot of the stuff he does with his life is stupid and completely un-dope. FOR EXAMPLE (notice how I'm yelling...) I was randomly googling him today at work and clicked on his website, and then noticed that this negro has his own STORE of BOW WOW paraphernalia! WHAT? Whoever bought this hoodie for $49.95 plus shipping and handling is walking around looking like a fool. I would ask all of the readers to be on the look out for any foolish person parading around in BOWnalia, and if you find them, make a citizens ARREST and then start a petition to fire his publicist! click here to see more nonsense

Star Wars....revamped?

Some of you may know this already, but for those who don’t…..I’m a huge STAR WARS fan! First movie I ever saw in life so why wouldn’t I be. I even skipped a day of school in the 11th grade to go see it…..YES IT WAS THAT SERIOUS lol Well yesterday I was on NY Times website and I read an article about George Lucas and how he plans to continue the Star Wars legacy. On August 15, Mr. Lucas plans to release the Clone Wars, an animated movie based around Star Wars. Clone Wars is basically a continuum of Star Wars’ characters and concepts featuring new places and creatures. He is also working on an animated Clone Wars series that will be on Cartoon Network. George Lucas says he has been working on this movie and series since 2002 and can’t help but continue in the path of Star Wars because it is his first love.

Ok I know I sound like a complete dork, but I am kinda apprehensive about this new venture. The Star Wars series is so epic, how could he add any more ideas in the mix. Wouldn’t that just complicate things? I mean Star Wars is already complex enough to some people. George Lucas said himself that he does not know how it will be received and would be happy if it grossed $100 million in total. I guess we will just have to what and see.

the best thing since sliced bread

So this cover is probably fake because the album is no longer entitled "nigger" (what a low down dirty shame, they changed it to "Nas"). However, I am still looking forward to hearing Nas do his thing..and since my word of the day is "epic". Nas said some epic shit about him, his album, niggers in general, and the REVEREND Jesse Jackson:

"If Cornel West was making an album called Nigger, they would know he's got something intellectual to say," Nas continued. "To think I'm gonna say something that's not intellectual is calling me a nigger, and to be called a nigger by Jesse Jackson and the NAACP is counterproductive, counter-revolutionary."

quoted from mtv. com

For the record...well the Queenie record, this album has been pushed back since December 11, 2007, and its July...talk about anticipated, ima cop this as soon as it comes out. I'm telling you it's going to be a movement, a street movement is what he wants, but a global movement is what he may get..and reguardless of whether or not the album is called "Nigger", best believe it's gonna be playin through the CNN airwaves, and maybe even your local news...Pray for a banning, like Erykah Badu said, we need to get mad in order to start the revolution. Get mad when they try to ban Nas' album, get mad when the black people try and ban a significant piece of the black culture...GET MAD

anyway, finding the perfect pantie for me, kimmie e, was not as hard as I thought. I opted for a black thong, leopard pantie, that thing pictured above, and some other ones that were by Pink (i couldn't resist!). It's wearing them that's the hard part. I don't like the feeling...I always think I have something in my ass, which I do BUT i heard it gets better with time. Stay Tuned..I'll tell you what the boys think, lmao...gotcha bitch!

obama on Rolling Stone.. AGAIN

let me start by saying that this cover is EPIC.
secondly, it has no words on it, except for "Rolling Stone", which make it super EPIC
third, there is an actual substance filled OBAMA interview inside which makes it supremely EPIC
forth, when I bought this, I said that I was going to save this issue for my unborn kids, which makes it maternally EPIC

Last night I had the great awesometastic opportunity to see Wall.e, the Disney flick. It was like beyond good. It had a message and everything..fat people and robots-a winning combination. I give it 8 disney stars, 9 pixar stars, and 10 green stars. I mean the people were soooo fat that they couldn't move and all they could do was sit, watch tv, sleep, and eat fast food, it was like a picture of the future, an accurate obese picture of American living. I'm sure all the fat people in the movie were somewhat offended, they went so sick with the fatness lmao. I was shocked that Disney went so hard with their social message. Their "g status" flew way way up, if they would have said something about the cracked out gas prices, i would have flipped my shit. However, the movie did poke fun at the US government and big discount superstores, which compensated for the lack of gas price humor. Wall.e screamed, "hey people, we're fucking up the planet!", and i screamed back, "So So true!"

I read in Rolling Stone, that the ice in Greenland is melting away at this "alarming rate" because of global warming...the shit is real sons and daughters...not just for tv, the earth is really overheating (the red shit in the picture shows the melted ice..its of epic proportions!). According to the Stone, sea levels will have risen about 3 feet in the next few years, meaning that the East and West coasts will get smaller and smaller (noooooooooo). I also found out that the earth can naturally support 30 billion people, and we're around 70 billion. I'm not saying that we should line everyone up and shoot them like nazis, but just think about it, we're really wearing her down. She's tired, and she can't just go to 7-11 and get a pack of red bull to perk her up! Get Green people...even Kimora's doin' it-ghetto fabulous style, carbon footprint and all that shit (see below).
