Word of Mouf: Obama's HERE

FOX is IRRATE at Luda's song "Obama's Here"...the song makes me laugh becuz of the stir its causing in the media...it makes no strong political stances other than the fact that its anti-mccain, anti-hilary, WHATEVER. The song is ok (i hope it was a freestyle though lol), HOWEVER the problem lies within the view of Obama's campaign. He has stated in many interviews that Ludacris is one of his favorite rappers, making whatever Luda says, a reflection of Obama, dig? Just like Obama's pastor Rev. Wright. He makes strong political statements and accusations, which I think are justified, but they in essence don't help Obama's image in the eyes of White America. I like the fact that black folks are actually taking the time to be political, however I don't know if we know how to play this political game like the whites because we've been so wronged by the government. Now that we have a representative, we feel as though we should speak our minds, when we should have been speaking all along.I don't know if now is the time to have a big mouth. Should we focus on getting this black man into the oval office, or should we take this opportunity while America is LISTENING (finally) to speak what we feel...let me kno

I'm back on it like I just signed my record deal
Yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
Never should have hated, You never should've doubted him
With a slot in the president's iPod Obama shouted 'em

Said I handle my biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer
Better yet put me in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant

Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
If you said it then you meant it how you want it head or gut?
And all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win majority vote in every state on my man

You can't stop what's bout to happen, we bout to make history
The first black president is destined and it's meant to be
The threats ain't fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
So get off your ass, black people, it's time to get out and vote!

Paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and just throw 'em like candy wrap
'cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents

Get out and vote or the end'll be near
The world is ready for change because Obama is here
'cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here, yeah
cuz Obama is here

So my first impression is "Oh now Causcasians really arent gonna vote for Obama" What was the point of this song? Ludacris really isnt saying anything he is just talkin out the side of his neck. I mean Ludacris has freedom of speech but really? Does he want people to vote for OBAMA? Asking Obama to give him a pardon if he ever went to the slammer. That is why people dont want to vote for a black president because they fear black criminals will run free. I am not saying the judicial system isnt in need major of reconstruction. but looking for a pardon simply because the President is a brotha is out of line. Luda saying Mccain should be in a wheel chair... How does this type of negative bashing help Obama's Campaign? How does it make OBama's campaign any different from Mccain's? I like the fact that Obama isnt bashing Mccain. It makes him look like the bigger person. Would a song about Obama's Campaign and what he represents been so difficult.? Let's waste time doig positive things! Luda's song is quite entertaining but with tensions SOOO high and the race for the office SOOO near I feel that it was the wrong time for him to have released the track.

It looks a bit cowardly that no one wanted to talk about politics before OBama. But since we have the opportunity to have a black president we need to focus on that. It is clear that OBama is more than just a black candidate he is here to make changes and lead this country toward it's full potential.

You're right. People do want to be all political now that Barack Obama is running. I mean, Young Jeezy using American Flags in his videos? Seriously, yo. I think, and I stated this to my friends, that black people should just shut up. We go out and vote, by we just need to keep our mouths shut until someone is in office.

i think that black people should get political, because we cheat ourselves if we are not involved. However, we shouldnt become so outspoken that we lose the sight of our objective. The objective is to take a stand and make a change, but when we do not have a clear vision on how to make the change we end up with varying responses. Is the main objective to support obama, or is the main objective to finally speak out? If we assume that his objective is to get obama n office, he did not make a move in the right direction. His outspokenness is a reflection of obama, and whatever is said out of luda's mouth appears as though its being said out of obama's, at least to the naysayers and doubters. As a people we need to have a clear objective and a clear vision of how to approach the objective. In this instance the vision isnt clouded but the way the vision is obtained is flawed.

all n all he shouldnt have made that song...its simply bad press lol

I hate the fact that he made this song! Freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah. There is a right and wrong way to endorse and this was definitely not the right way. I thought Luda was smarter than this. Being that Obama is black, you have to be extra sensitive with your endorsements. (Esp. if you're a rapper) I'm just mad! lol
